Resolution Regarding HB 2313

At a meeting on March 25, 2013 the Loudoun County Republican Committee (LCRC) adopted the following resolution regarding HB 2313 passed by the Virginia Senate on February 23, 2013.

Whereas, The Republican Party of Virginia believes that fiscal responsibility and budgetary restraints must be exercised at all levels of government; and

Whereas, HB 2313 increases the tax burden on hard-working Virginians by at least $1 Billion per year; and

Whereas, The Loudoun County Republican Committee believes the tax burden should be decreased not increased; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That the Loudoun County Republican Committee urges Governor Robert McDonnell to veto HB 2313 or amend it to be revenue neutral and that any anticipated revenue be directed to transportation in the localities where they are raised and not to the General Fund of the Commonwealth.
