Resolution Commending Congressman Frank Wolf for His Efforts in the Fight Against Terrorism & Its Contributing Factors

WHEREAS, Congressman Frank Wolf is working tirelessly in the U.S. House of Representatives to make the 10th District, Virginia and America a better place to live, learn, work and raise a family; and

WHEREAS, Congressman Wolf was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1980, and was among the Republican leaders who ushered in the revolution in governance under the late President Ronald W. Reagan; and

WHEREAS, Congressman Wolf has strengthened and supported America's national defense and homeland security; and

WHEREAS, Congressman Wolf has brought his knowledge of Virginia's defense industry and key military assets to bear in the Congress of the United States as the most senior member of the 11 members of the House of Representatives from Virginia; and

WHEREAS, Congressman Wolf has traveled to the globe to closely examine the problem of and solution to terrorism and is the author of the legislation creating the National Commission on Terrorism; and

WHEREAS, Congressman Wolf believes we need to secure our borders first and enforce immigration laws already on the books; and

WHEREAS, Congressman Wolf does not support amnesty; and

WHEREAS, Congressman Wolf has consistently supported policies that directly affect the Dulles high-tech corridor, and obtained Justice Department funding to combat gangs and methamphetamine production in the Shenandoah Valley; and

WHEREAS, Congressman Wolf is one of the House's leading crusaders for human rights, and has called attention to the human rights abuses and religious
persecution in the People's Republic of China, Tibet, Romania, Chechnya, Bosnia, East Timor and the Darfur region of Sudan; and

WHEREAS, Congressman Wolf is one of the Nation's leading elected opponents of gambling, and has supported laws to stem the spread of gambling;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Congressman Wolf has the full support of the Loudoun County Republican Committee and deserves re-election to continue his efforts.
