The Loudoun County Republican and Democratic Committees jointly condemn the racist graffiti attack in Ashburn

Both the Loudoun County Republican (LCRC) and Democratic (LCDC) Committees jointly condemn the recent racist vandalism on Friday, October 1 to the historic Ashburn Colored School here in Loudoun County, Virginia.

Working together the committees are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the responsible parties. Each committee is also calling on their members to join the local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in a rally, Sunday, October 9th from 9:00am to 2:00pm to paint the building and remove swastikas and "white power" slurs from this important civil rights landmark, located at 20579 Ashburn Road, Ashburn, Virginia.

Will Estrada, Chair of the LCRC, said, "Racism is a vile sin against God and man. It has no place in our community, or anywhere for that matter." Marty Martinez, Chair of the LCDC, also added, "This is a horrible act and we stand united with the NAACP, the LCRC and the leaders of our community in showing the rest of the country that racism is not tolerated here."

The committee's reward combined with the Loudoun Crime Solvers' reward brings the total reward to $2,000.
Details for the Sunday rally are still being worked out. Additional information can be found at the following websites:
