VA District 10 Straw Poll Results From Record Attendance At LCRC Spring Jamboree

April 12, 2018

LEESBURG, VA (April 10, 2018) - The Loudoun County Republican Committee is pleased to announce record-breaking attendance at its annual Spring Jamboree. The event was packed to the brim, despite grim forecasts of 6-8 inches of snow earlier in the week. Almost 400 attendees came to Purcellville's Historic Bush Tabernacle to enjoy live music, a silent auction, and traditional BBQ.

Not only was the event packed with activities and food for attendees, but there was also a straw poll held for VA District 10 Congressional elections. The official results of the straw poll are as follows:

U.S Senate:
Nick Freitas: 179
Corey Stewart: 103
E.W. Jackson: 42

U.S. House of Representatives:
Barbara Comstock: 196
Shak Hill: 152

U.S. Senate candidate E.W. Jackson attended the Jamboree, as did U.S. House of Representatives candidates Barbara Comstock and Shak Hill. Candidates in attendance were given the opportunity to introduce themselves and answer a few fun questions, such as their first international travel destination and their first car.

"We were proud to host a record-breaking event," said Jim Bonfils, chairman of the LCRC, "With the help of the candidates, sponsors, and our volunteers, we put on our most successful Spring Jamboree of all time. We look forward to seeing you next year!"
