Robert “Bob” Wertz – Commissioner of the Revenue

Robert S. "Bob" Wertz, Jr.
Commissioner of the Revenue

Over his 30+ year career in the Office of the Commissioner of the Revenue, his focus has been on the taxpayer. Bob is a proven, trusted, and experienced Tax Administrator and the only candidate for Commissioner who knows the job. His knowledge and experience allow him to render sound decisions based on local and state tax code to ensure equity. He and his staff of 90 tax professionals administer programs that generate more than $1 Billion annually. He leads Virginia Tax Assessment Offices in the use of online services without sacrificing the personal service that Loudouners deserve. Given the responsibility for the real estate assessment function in 2012, he has enhanced transparency in the assessment process and improved the working relationship with the Board of Equalization to facilitate a customer-focused real estate appeals process. Bob also closely protects all the confidential personal and business information entrusted to the office.

There's no substitute for experience in the top tax assessment job in a dynamic, growing locality like Loudoun. Vote early beginning September 22nd.
