DESCRIPTION:OFFICIAL CALL FOR ELECTIONS \nRublican Party of Virginia\nIssued November 9\, 2024 \nAs Chairman of the 32nd State Senate Legislative District Committee of the Republican Party of\nVirginia and pursuant to the State Party Plan of Organization\, I\, Robert G. Landrum\, do hereby\nissue this call for a Party Canvass or “Firehouse Primary” to be held concurrently at Cascades\nOverlook Event Center\, 21453 Epicerie Plaza\, Sterling\, Virginia 20164 and Guidepost\nMontessori of Aldie\, 24328 Marrwood Drive\, Aldie\, Virginia 20105\, starting at 10:00 AM local\ntime and ending at 4:00 PM local time on Saturday\, November 16\, 2024 for the purpose of\nnominating a Republican candidate for the office of State Senate from the 32nd District of\nVirginia. \nRepublican voters residing in the district are eligible to participate in this nomination process.\nQualifications for Participation \nAll legal and qualified voters of the 32nd State Senate District of Virginia\, under the laws of the\nCommonwealth of Virginia\, regardless of race\, religion\, national origin or sex\, who are in accord\nwith the principles of the Republican Party and who\, if requested\, express in open meeting –\neither orally or in writing as may be required – their intent to support all of its nominees for\npublic office in the ensuing election\, may participate as members of the Republican Party of\nVirginia in this party canvass encompassing the district. Voters will be required to present a valid\nphotographic identification as defined by the Virginia Department of Elections. No voter who\nrefuses to present such identification or sign such certification shall be permitted to vote. There\nwill be no registration fee for voters to participate in this Canvass. \nCandidate Filing Requirements\n1. Applicants for nomination shall file a written statement on the form attached hereto (“Official\nCandidate Filing Form”)\, including signature to the statement of intent and pledge to support\nRepublican candidates\, mailed or in person\, by appointment\, to Robert G. Landrum\, Chairman\,\n32nd State Senate Legislative District Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia\, 23742\nFarmington Hills Court\, Aldie\, Virginia 20105\, which must be received by 6:00 PM local time on\nWednesday\, November 13\, 2024. Postmarks shall not govern.\n2. Pay the sum of $100.00 by check\, made out to the Loudoun County Republican Committee\,\nmailed or in person\, by appointment\, to Robert G. Landrum\, Chairman\, 32nd State Senate\nLegislative District Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia\, 23742 Farmington Hills\nCourt\, Aldie\, Virginia 20105\, which must be received by 6:00 PM local time on Wednesday\,\nNovember 13\, 2024. Postmarks shall not govern. \nThe failure of any person to fully and timely satisfy the aforesaid requirements shall preclude\nthem from running for the Republican nomination of State Senator for the 32nd District of\nVirginia. If not more than one qualified person files for election as the Republican nominee for\nthe office of State Senator from the 32nd District of Virginia\, the Party Canvass shall be\ncancelled\, and the one qualified applicant shall be deemed automatically nominated.\nRules \n1. Ballot order will be determined by lot.\n2. The winner of a tie will be determined by lot.\n3. There will be no write-in votes\, absentee ballots\, or proxy votes allowed.\n4. Polls will close at 4:00 PM sharp. Only those in line to vote at 4:00 PM will be allowed to\nvote.\n5. Candidates and their advocates may not campaign within 30 feet of the exterior door of a\npolling station.\n6. Voters may begin to line up at 9:30 AM\, but voting will not begin until 10:00 AM.\n7. Other rules\, requirements and procedures deemed necessary for the orderly conduct of said \nCanvass adopted by the 32nd State Senate Legislative District Committee of the Republican Party\nof Virginia for said Canvass shall be deemed to have full force and effect as if set forth verbatim\nin this call. \nApproval\, Publication\, and Revisions\nThe 32nd State Senate Legislative District Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia voted\nat a duly called meeting on Saturday\, November 9\, (1) to approve the terms of this Call\, and (2)\nto waive publication of this Call in a newspaper.\nThe Call for this Party Canvass and filing form is herewith published on the websites of the\nRepublican Party of Virginia and the Loudoun County Republican Committee at the following\nlinks: \nhttp://www.virginia.gop/events/category/official-call/\nhttp://www.LoudounGOP.com/ \nThis Party Canvas Call is authorized and paid for by the 32nd State Senate Legislative District\nCommittee of the Republican Party of Virginia.
