Richard Hayden Black

Richard Hayden Black is a Republican politician. He served as a member of the Virginia State Senate, representing the 13th District, which encompasses parts of both Loudoun and Prince Williams Counties, from 2012 to 2020. Black was previously a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 1998 to 2006

Black graduated from the University of Florida in 1973 and earned his J.D. in 1976. He is an attorney. Black joined the Marines in 1963. After the Vietnam War, he served as a flight instructor and attended engineer school. The Loudoun Parents gave Honorable Dick Black a standing ovation at the famous June 22, 2021 Loudoun County School Board meeting that was shutdown due to the crowd’s clapping.
