PRESS RELEASE: RADICAL RANDALL AND HER BOS SPENDS OUR TAXPAYER DOLLARS TO HIDE THEIR TRAVEL SCANDALS

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VIRGINIA, FEBRUARY 13, 2024 – Loudoun County Board of Supervisors (BOS) Chair Phyllis Randall and her colleagues have been caught using taxpayer dollars to hire lobbyists to convince members of the General Assembly to vote against a bill that would require the BOS to inform taxpayers when they spend more than $5,000 on travel.

ABC 7News broke the story on the shocking and shameful activity of our BOS to cover-up their taxpayer funded luxurious, all-expenses paid, first class travel at 5-star resorts around the world.

The BOS paid $156,000 to hire a lobbyist to oppose State Senator Russet Perry’s bill for travel transparency. Perry’s bill passed the State Senate on Friday and now goes to the House of Delegates.

Hat tip to supervisor Kristen Umstattd who urged her colleagues on the BOS to stop the effort to formally oppose Senator Perry’s bill. Supervisors Juli Briskman and Mike Turner vigorously opposed Umstattd’s call to support transparency.

Democracy Dies in Darkness is the official slogan of the Washington Post first coined by Bob Woodward.

Radical Randall and a majority of our supervisors including Briskman and Turner love darkness and hate light. In the darkness,  they serve themselves and not the people of Loudoun County.

The Loudoun County Republican Committee is recruiting!
