Aliscia Andrews is a working mom, a Marine Corps veteran, and a national security policy expert. She has spent years helping multiple government agencies, including the Intelligence Community, find solutions to challenging problems.

More recently, Aliscia was an early leader in the “Parents Matter” movement that began in Loudoun County and spread across the Commonwealth and the country. She was an advisor to the Glenn Youngkin campaign for governor. Recognizing her extensive national security expertise and eagerness for public service, Governor Youngkin appointed Aliscia as Virginia’s first-ever Deputy Secretary of Cybersecurity in January 2022.

Soon after that, Aliscia was elevated and appointed Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security and Homeland Security Advisor to the Governor. She has conducted oversight of the Virginia Department of Energy Management, the Virginia Parole Board, the Department of Corrections, and the Virginia State Police.

Aliscia resides in Aldie, Virginia, with her husband, two sons, daughter, and puppy. In her free time, she volunteers with disadvantaged children’s groups, church ministries, boys youth baseball teams, coaches cheerleading, and mentors transitioning veterans.
